Job Description
The successful candidate will form part of AESGs dynamic Sustainable Engineering department located in our Dubai headquarters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. You will work on a variety of projects involving mechanical design, analysis, prototyping, and manufacturing support.

Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed Mechanical (HVAC, water supply, drainage, etc.) system designs for various types of construction projects.
• Ensure all designs are in compliance with local UAE and GCC regulations, codes, and standards, as well as international best practices.
• Engage with clients to understand their specific requirements and ensure their needs are incorporated into designs.
• Provide expert advice and recommendations on plumbing and fire protection solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers, ensuring integrated and coordinated designs.
• Attend coordination meetings to address potential design conflicts and offer solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and drafters, ensuring the consistent quality of design outputs.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and techniques in the plumbing and fire engineering field.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and reports for project documentation.
• Review and approve material submissions and shop drawings from contractors, ensuring compliance with design intent.
Essential skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with further post-graduate education desirable (e.g., Masters degree), along with demonstrated work experience within the field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on sustainability and digitalisation
• Experience delivering LEED-certified or other building certification projects and have an excellent understanding of building systems performance
• Professional qualification and work experience with development, and/or implementation of Sustainability Rating Systems such as USGBC LEED, Mostadam, Passive House or equivalent
• Proven track record of successfully leading a sustainability program, policies and regulatory frameworks
• The candidate will be expected to work across numerous software platforms, including Revit, AMTECH, DIALUX and ETAP
