As a Technical Engineer – Mechanical at Azizi Developments, you will be a vital part of our Technical Office team, reporting directly to the Technical Manager – Mechanical. You will be responsible for coordinating all technical aspects related to mechanical systems across HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and other building services, ensuring seamless collaboration between design consultants, internal engineering teams, and contractors. Your role will involve reviewing and validating mechanical design drawings, technical submissions, and shop drawings to ensure constructability, compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations, and site requirements. You will lead technical coordination meetings for mechanical works, identify and resolve technical issues, support value engineering initiatives by proposing cost-effective mechanical solutions, and provide proactive technical support to the site teams to ensure the successful and efficient execution of mechanical systems. Through your expertise in mechanical systems and construction practices, you will play a key role in ensuring that our developments are delivered to the highest standards of engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for engineering processes of all mechanical systems (Drainage, Water, Fire Fighting, HVAC & LPG systems).
• Review IFC design for authority compliance.
• Manage a team of 10 to 15 draftsmen for shop drawings & As-Built drawings production.
• Prepare engineering calculations such as ESP, Pump Head, Ventilation, Pressurization, and Heat load, etc.
• Responsible for MEP coordination drawings.
• Responsible for MEP modular drawings production.
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, architectural, and structural engineering teams.
• Prepare material submittals, engineering drawings, and calculations, etc.
• Review material submittals, engineering drawings, and calculations, etc.
• Provide support for authority documentation submissions (in-depth knowledge in DM, DCD, Empower, Trakhees, Dubai South regulations).
• Review final major material procurement requests from the project team for compliance.
• Develop shop drawings and detailed ELV drawings as per IFC and project specifications.
• Provide technical support to the project team with accurate drawings from design to execution & handover.
• Maintain detailed logs for materials, shop drawings, and RFIs, etc.
• Prepare BoQ and raise RFIs.
• Prepare RFPs and follow up with procurement.
• Strong interaction with site management for day-to-day site technical requirements.
• Attend site meetings to discuss projects, engineering deliverable requirements, etc.
