Job summary

Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years postgraduate experience, with at least 7 years on large projects.
- Regional experience preferred.
- UAE Driving License required.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Resident Engineer or MEP Lead in contractual duties on site.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
- Review mechanical system testing & commissioning methods and schedule.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Resident Engineer or MEP Lead in performing contractual duties on site.
- Provide resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinate application of solutions to ensure progress on site.
- Advise the project manager of any technical aspects of the mechanical services that may affect construction progress and quality.
- Review the contractor's construction schedule during site works.
- Review construction submittals from project inception to close-out, including:
- Installation method statements
- Shop drawings against design drawings for compliance
- Mechanical shop drawings in coordination with structural and electrical engineers
- Material proposals against technical requirements
- Proposed subcontractors' technical suitability
Monitor material procurement and deliveries to support construction schedule.Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, safety, and schedule.Undertake off-site inspections of proposed equipment and materials as needed.Review mechanical system testing & commissioning methods and schedule.Witness pressure tests, leakage tests, and final system testing and commissioning.Review testing and commissioning results and advise accordingly.Maintain a list of mechanical defects for remedial action and final snagging.Participate in project meetings related to mechanical services.Draft site instructions related to mechanical services and issue to the project manager.Advise on variation costs claimed by the contractor.Review and comment on Operation and Maintenance manuals.Oversee junior engineers and inspectors for compliance and quality control.Coordinate utility connections with the utility authority.Ensure quality control procedures are followed and monitored.Collaborate to eliminate hazards affecting safety, health, or environment.Review and interpret design drawings and specifications for accuracy and technical correctness.Support works and material inspection requests.Perform additional responsibilities as appropriate.Qualifications

- Authority registration preferred.
- Ability to manage and coordinate a team or discipline of moderate size and complexity.
