Job summary

AMS International UAE is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Dubai, UAE. The role focuses on creating optimized concepts for generator packages, enclosures and related balance of plant systems, with emphasis on manufacturability and performance.

You will collaborate across disciplines to meet project specifications in a fast-growing market. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and hands-on CREO/ANSYS experience, with proven problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

• Mech design experience in GENSET and/or DATA CENTRE projects.
• Experience in power generation or Balance of Plant is preferred.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD tools, preferably CREO.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design concepts, layouts, 3D models and BOMs for generator packages and related systems.
• Lead design decisions and communicate intent through reviews and documentation.
• Apply design processes including iDFMEA, dimensional analysis, GD&T, and CAD tooling.
• Coordinate with electrical, manufacturing, sourcing and project teams to ensure manufacturability and serviceability.
• Review supplier drawings and support technical closure and changes.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and assist in field issue resolution.
