Job summary

PipeCare Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the United Arab Emirates. You will design inline inspection tools and robotic systems from concept through production release, and perform FEM/CAE analyses to validate performance and reliability.

Responsibilities include component/material selection, creating drawings and BOMs, and supporting prototype testing, qualification, and production startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical and/or robotic system design using SOLIDWORKS.
• Strong experience in ANSYS for structural, thermal, and mechanical analyses.
• Experience in pigging tools, pipeline inspection crawlers, robotic inspection mechanisms, and in‑pipe mobility systems is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Design inline inspection tools and robotic systems from concept through detailed design and production release.

Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Proficient in detailed mechanical design, 2D/3D drawings, BOM preparation, design calculations, computer simulations, validation, and optimization.
• Strong experience in ANSYS for structural, thermal, and mechanical analyses.
• Experience in the design and analysis of pigging tools, pipeline inspection crawlers, robotic inspection mechanisms, and in‑pipe mobility systems is highly desirable.
• Strong exposure to design for manufacture (DFM/DFA) and production engineering environments.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
• Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
• Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
• Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
• Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off‑site locations when necessary.
