Job summary

A leading company in aviation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform essential maintenance tasks on aircraft. Responsibilities include inspections, repairs, and training of trainees to ensure high standards of aircraft readiness. Ideal candidates will have an FAA certification and a minimum of 5 years of aviation maintenance experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of aviation maintenance experience.
  • Minimum 3 years as a mechanic on the aircraft type.
  • Thorough knowledge in using aviation maintenance tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in aircraft inspection, servicing, and repair.
  • Train and advise trainees to achieve full maintenance capacity.

Job description

Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks. Reports directly to the Supervisor for all aspects of aircraft, facility, tool, equipment, and administrative requirements.

Will also be responsible for:

  1. Assist the maintenance supervisor to accomplish the company's mission.
  2. Perform inspection, servicing, and repair of aircraft and equipment in accordance with applicable technical publications and local policies and procedures. Assist in ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness.
  3. Impart knowledge of duties and responsibilities (advice support and OJT training) to enable trainees to attain full maintenance capacity.
  4. Complete all forms, records, and documents recording aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with DA PAM 738-751, applicable technical publications, and local policies and procedures.
  5. Perform rated and/or non-rated crew member duties as requested to facilitate maintenance activities such as Maintenance Test Flights, Maintenance Operational Checks, and operation of diagnostic equipment during ground and/or flight (subject to completion of a flight physical).
  6. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Lead.

Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or industry equivalent.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Graduation from military or commercial aircraft maintenance or airframe repair school or course preferred.
  • Completion of military or commercial aviation corrosion prevention course preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years aviation maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years as a mechanic on the aircraft type.
  • Thorough knowledge in the use of common tools, special tools, test equipment, and aviation ground support equipment used in aircraft maintenance.
