Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks. Reports directly to the Supervisor for all aspects of aircraft, facility, tool, equipment, and administrative requirements.
Will also be responsible for:
- Assist the maintenance supervisor to accomplish the company's mission.
- Perform inspection, servicing, and repair of aircraft and equipment in accordance with applicable technical publications and local policies and procedures. Assist in ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness.
- Impart knowledge of duties and responsibilities (advice support and OJT training) to enable trainees to attain full maintenance capacity.
- Complete all forms, records, and documents recording aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with DA PAM 738-751, applicable technical publications, and local policies and procedures.
- Perform rated and/or non-rated crew member duties as requested to facilitate maintenance activities such as Maintenance Test Flights, Maintenance Operational Checks, and operation of diagnostic equipment during ground and/or flight (subject to completion of a flight physical).
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Lead.

Qualifications:
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or industry equivalent.
- High School Diploma.
- Graduation from military or commercial aircraft maintenance or airframe repair school or course preferred.
- Completion of military or commercial aviation corrosion prevention course preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years aviation maintenance experience.
- Minimum of 3 years as a mechanic on the aircraft type.
- Thorough knowledge in the use of common tools, special tools, test equipment, and aviation ground support equipment used in aircraft maintenance.
