Job summary

Amazon, a globally customer-centric retailer, seeks an FP&A professional in Abu Dhabi to partner with regional finance teams across MENA, Türkiye and South Africa. You will own close processes, drive data-driven insights, and push automation to improve reporting accuracy and speed.

The role requires 3+ years in finance analytics, strong KPI application, and experience with large data tools. MBA or CPA is a plus, with a focus on global standards and process improvement.

• Provide ad-hoc responses to leadership on intra-month performance and reviews.
• Drive controllership of regional stores' financials and action plan tracking.
• Lead AI-based roadmap to automate and simplify weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting.
• Provide accurate and insightful financial reports.
• Identify opportunities to standardize tasks and transfer them to global teams.

Key job responsibilities

• Be the go-to FP&A contact for peers in MENA, Türkiye and South Africa finance and business teams.
• Owning financial bridging and story-telling during monthly and quarterly close cycles, validating financial and operational results of the Consumer business.
• Ensuring a high level of financial controls are followed, maintaining data integrity.
• Lead month-end close activities s with holistic ownership across P&L and balance sheet.
• Own ad-hoc responses to questions from leadership in finance and business on intra month performance and around one-off review preparation.
• Drive controllership of MENA/Türkiye/South Africa Stores financials, understanding actuals, challenging variances and tracking action plans to bring financial results back to plan when necessary and possible.
• Active business partner driving actuals variances analysis along with other finance teams, such as Stores Finance, Operations, Payments, Customer Service, , Prime and Marketing.
• Drive an AI-based roadmap to facilitate automation and process simplification for all tools and mechanism facilitating weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting cycles, leveraging BI capabilities within own and partner teams.
• Provide accurate and insightful financial reports.
• Find opportunities to use global standards and transfer repetitive tasks to global teams.
• Develop financial skills across the organization.
• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
• 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
• 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
