Job Description Summary

We are seeking a motivated detail-oriented and proactive legal associate to join our legal team. Ideal candidate will provide support to our Middle East and Africa lawyers and report to our Head of Legal (Middle East and Africa). This role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to grow within a multinational corporate environment. The successful candidate will support legal operations, assist in contract management, research, ensure compliance with UAE laws and internal company policies, and conduct administrative tasks.

Job Description

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research on commercial, pharma, regulatory, and labour laws applicable within the GCC region; assist the team in monitoring changes to laws and regulations.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing commercial contracts, corporate documentation, and other legal documents under supervision.
  • Support the legal team in managing litigation files and co-ordinating with external counsel when requested from time to time.
  • Maintain and update legal databases, templates, and internal compliance documentation.
  • Assist in the implementation of legal policies and training programs within the company.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as document archiving, prepare reports and presentations for the legal team.
  • Perform simple routine repetitive tasks under close supervision and within well-established procedures to support diverse legal activities.

Professional Qualification and other skills:

  • Bachelors degree in law from a renowned university.
  • 0-3 years of work experience as a legal paralegal or internship experience (preferably in a law firm or a global multinational company).
  • Fluent in English and Arabic with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and keen to adapt to any other legal tools used by the company from time to time.
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
