Job Purpose :
- Establish, implement, and execute a business strategy for the respective client segment (HNWI) and market area.
- Substitute for the Managing Director & Head of Private Banking - KCG in her absence for all office administrative, approval, and related matters.
- Ensure that the business complies with the current rules and regulations of the bank as defined by Policies and Procedures, compliance directives, and legal framework.
- Work closely with senior management to develop business strategies for PB aligned with the bank's overall strategy, with the goal to increase FAB’s access to the target segment.
- Collaborate with other bank divisions to promote holistic banking services and serve as a single point of contact for the target segment.
- Increase visibility of the Bank and PB by participating in relevant events alongside CCD and CSR activities.
- Grow PBU’s AuM & revenue by acquiring new clients directly or with RMs.
- Develop business across diverse markets/regions, especially with offshore and onshore UHNWI & HNWI clients.
- Identify, initiate, and develop products/services with FAB GAM and other resources, including external providers.
- Propose proactive product and investment ideas based on market opportunities.
- Maintain accurate business budgets and report to the head of operations.
- Expand current and future client base through referrals, contacts, and marketing.
- Enhance PB offerings by supporting internal processes and workflows.
- Promote ‘cradle to grave’ banking by extending capabilities to clients and their families.
Team Leader Tasks :
- Lead, develop, motivate, and retain a team of RMs, ensuring revenue, market coverage, service quality, and risk objectives are met. Provide marketing and administrative support.
- Participate in client meetings with RMs to foster team synergy.
- Collaborate with Business Heads to identify and develop new business and product opportunities.
- Develop and implement corrective actions for underperforming teams.
- Provide input on product development based on client feedback.
- Review RM performance regularly, focusing on individual strengths and styles.
- Manage performance based on FAB competencies and identify development needs.
- Screen and provide feedback on potential candidates and talent in the market.
- Identify external opportunities and develop new business, increasing wallet share and implementing marketing plans.
- Participate in bank-wide product development and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with bank policies, legal standards, and procedures.
- Manage end-to-end projects, liaising with other group colleagues.
- Develop new business through personal sources and professional connections, maintaining high-profile client relationships.
- Maintain and develop a key client base, providing excellent service and developing new business via referrals.
- Provide comprehensive investment solutions and advice to clients 24/7.
- Assess prospects thoroughly, including due diligence and compliance with PEPs, OFAC, KYC, and international standards.
- Monitor and maintain client relationships, portfolios, and related reports.
- Promote bank-wide capabilities across divisions.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Excellent academic record from a reputable university, preferably in business, economics, marketing, or with an MBA or finance background.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in private banking and related banking environments.
- Leadership experience.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic, French, Hindi, or Urdu depending on client geography.
