Job Purpose
To act as a focal point for all maintenance to be performed in the UAE, Hubs, and Outstations on a 24/7 basis. Ensures the timely availability and continued airworthiness of Air Arabia fleet and Third Party aircraft in accordance with business requirements, GCAA/CAA rules and regulations, and Air Arabia policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Key Result Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying, assessing, reporting, and monitoring technical defects on the fleet, ensuring all AMP tasks are completed timely and aircraft are maintained within standards whether airborne or on ground.
- Support engineering planning, development, STP, and QA teams in executing fleet maintenance planning and monitoring operations to ensure aircraft are maintained and released safely and promptly.
- Prioritize and manage work packages among teams, following up on timeliness and efficiency of task execution.
- Proactively take corrective and preventive measures to maintain airworthiness and prevent delays.
- Provide technical guidance to maintenance staff and MROs 24/7, ensuring conformity to regulations, standards, and manuals.
- Offer technical support to pilots and cabin crew, responding flexibly to operational changes.
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance tasks and communication with pilots and crew regarding reporting procedures.
- Assist in monitoring daily flight performance, recording data, and communicating defect information effectively.
- Report on technical performance trends and recommend corrective actions; support audit practices to ensure compliance.
- Support technical training for staff, conducting training, coaching, and assessments as needed.
- Handle emergency cases, including AOG situations, and facilitate communication and incident sharing.
- Maintain communication with service providers, generate performance feedback reports.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)- Bachelor’s in Aircraft Engineering/Aeronautical or equivalent; diploma with experience also acceptable.
- Type-rating maintenance license; additional aircraft types a plus.
- ICAO member license (AME) preferred.
- Membership in professional aviation associations is a plus.
- Proficient in technology systems and Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in English.
Work Experience- Over 8 years’ engineering maintenance experience, with at least 3 years in a Maintenance Control Center and 2 years leading a team.
- Experience with Civil Aviation Authorities, preferably GCAA, familiar with related rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of airline and flight operations regulations; understanding of flight crew procedures.
- Experience with QA, safety, audits, and maintenance policies.
- Balanced personality, capable of handling emergencies efficiently.
- Experience implementing maintenance policies and procedures.
- High accuracy, detail-oriented, with analytical skills for data interpretation and cost-effective solutions.
