Job description

The Division of Science at NYU Abu Dhabi is searching for accomplished visiting faculty in Mathematics to educate the next generation of global thinkers. Multidisciplinary research and exceptional teaching in a highly diverse and inclusive campus community are hallmarks of the University's mission.

Applicants holding a PhD with teaching experience in all areas of mathematics, both pure and applied, are welcome to apply. Candidates are expected to be excellent teachers of undergraduate courses. The visiting position is for one academic year, with an expected teaching load of four courses. Classes are relatively small, typically with at most 24 students.

Faculty in the Program in Mathematics have strong ties to NYU Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. Current research interests include:

  • Analysis, PDEs, and Applications
  • Geometry, Topology, and Algebra
  • Probability Theory and Statistical Mechanics

Faculty contribute to multidisciplinary research, potentially working with scholars from other programs in areas such as cryptography, bioinformatics, biostatistics, data science, artificial intelligence, environmental science, and climate change.
