Job summary

SearchPlus HR Consultancy is promoting a Specialist/Consultant in Maternal and Fetal Medicine for a premier government healthcare facility in the UAE. The role emphasizes management of high-risk pregnancies, fetal assessment, and expert ultrasound within the obstetrics and gynecology team.

You will lead multidisciplinary care, counsel families on fetal abnormalities, and contribute to audits, CME, and teaching while upholding safety and quality standards. Western qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Recognized medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent).
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Maternal and Fetal Medicine.
• Western qualifications and international boards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-risk pregnancies and provide comprehensive maternal and fetal care.
• Assess and monitor pregnancies with maternal conditions, fetal abnormalities, and obstetric risks.
• Perform advanced obstetric ultrasound examinations and fetal assessments.
• Conduct fetal anomaly screening, growth monitoring, and Doppler studies.
• Diagnose and manage fetal growth restriction, multiples, and complex pregnancies.
• Counsel expectant parents regarding fetal abnormalities and management options.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with obstetricians, neonatologists, and genetics teams.
• Develop individualized management plans to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain medical records and comply with guidelines and safety standards.
• Participate in audits, teaching, research, and CME.
