Job summary

Cb&I Llc. is seeking a Material Specialist to ensure materials and equipment meet contract specs, quality requirements, and project schedules. You will coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Expediting, Logistics and Suppliers to confirm material compliance from requisition through delivery.

The role emphasizes review of specifications, supplier surveillance, and documentation control to mitigate risk and maintain project timelines.

Qualifications

• Typically 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• EPC industry experience is preferred.
• BA or BS degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management or related technical field.
• Must know codes: ASME sections II, V, VIII, IX; ASTM; API 650/620; AWWA D100; AWS D1.1; ASME B31.3; ASME B16.5/B16.47; ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering material specifications and contract quality requirements for supplier materials and equipment.
• Ensure supplier surveillance/inspection records and documentation are developed and maintained.
• Lead supplier quality surveillance and inspections to support project schedules.
• Oversee development of bidder and supplier lists to ensure material meets specifications and schedule.
