Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced professional to lead maintenance and materials management initiatives in the oil & gas sector. The role focuses on cataloguing, data standardisation, data enrichment and BOM preparation, with emphasis on high-volume data handling and SAP-based processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 15+ years in maintenance/materials management in Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical.
• 8+ years in materials cataloguing, data standardisation, data enrichment and BOM prep.
• Experience reviewing drawings, datasheets, certificates and catalogues.
• Co-ordinate SPIR reviews with vendors and inventory teams.
• Build/draft material master data templates and guidelines.
• Expert in material specs per ASTM/ASME/API/ISO/BS and similar standards.
• Proficient in SAP and large data handling, cleansing and duplicate resolution.
• Experience in variety reduction and interchangeability studies; strong IT skills including Excel/Access.

Job description

• Bachelor’s Degree in the respective discipline of engineering
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Maintenance/Material management in an Oil & Gas/Petrochemical Industries,
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Materials Cataloguing, Data Standardisation, Data Enrichment, Duplicate Resolution, Bill of Materials preparation, Technical Evaluation
• Experience in reviewing Engineering drawings, datasheets, parts list, certificates, manufacturer catalogues.
• Experience in reviewing project spares parts interchangeability records (SPIR) in co-ordination with vendors, manufacturers, inventory, and warehouse house team.
• Expertise in Dictionary development / Building material master data templates, guideline development
• Expert in Material specifications in the respective discipline & well versed with international and industrial standards such as ASTM, ASME, API, ISO, BS, etc.
• Proficient in Material management in ERP systems (especially SAP) and skills in handling large volume of data handling, data cleansing and enrichment activities, duplicate identification, and resolution
• Experience in variety reduction, alternate materials specification, interchangeability study, etc.
• Proficient in IT Skills especially in Microsoft office such as Excel, Word, Access database.
