Role Description

We are seeking for a Material/Procurement Engineer to support the Estimation Department in developing competitive bids and tender submissions. The role involves sourcing material prices, coordinating with suppliers, reviewing technical specifications, and contributing to accurate cost estimations for both current and upcoming projects. This position plays a key role in ensuring material costs are optimized and accurately reflected in project bids.

Key Responsibilities:

Your tasks and responsibilities shall include the following but not limited to:

• Evaluate and qualify vendors based on criteria such as quality, pricing, and reliability.
• Prepare and issue detailed Requests for Proposals (RFPs), clearly defining product or service specifications.
• Perform detailed cost comparison to identify optimal procurement options aligned quality standards.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and contractual agreements.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to tender requirements and align with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Procurement.

Skills & competencies:

• Proficiency in procurement software such as SAP, Oracle.
• Expertise in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
