Material Planner for UAV Assembly & Testing

Job summary

Air Q Limited is seeking an experienced Material Planner to manage BOM-driven material planning, ordering, availability, and tracking for its Assembly, Integration & Testing (AIT) operations. The role ensures materials are available against the production schedule, prevents shortages, and supports digitization efforts.

You will coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Warehouse, and shop floor, maintain accurate material records, and drive improvements in material tracking processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or production planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems for material ordering and tracking.
• Strong understanding of BOM-driven material planning.
• Experience in stock/consumption tracking and material reporting.
• Experience in material tracking process improvement or process design.
• Strong coordination across Procurement, Planning, Warehouse, and Production/Shop Floor teams.
• Strong attention to detail and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Process-oriented mindset to bring structure to evolving processes.

Responsibilities

• Own BOM-driven material ordering and material availability planning for assembly and testing activities.
• Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers to prevent material shortages and production delays.
• Monitor material availability against production schedules.
• Identify and resolve gaps in the existing material and job-order tracking process.
• Maintain accurate material, stock, consumption, and order records.
• Support the development and improvement of material tracking processes.
• Coordinate closely with Procurement, Planning, Warehouse, and the shop floor.
• Monitor material risks and proactively flag potential shortages or delays to the VP of AIT.
• Ensure BOM ordering accuracy and timely material availability.
• Work with ERP/MRP systems for material ordering, tracking, and reporting.
