What You ll Do
* Review contractor material submittals and ensure compliance with project specifications and UAE standards
* Coordinate materials testing with subconsultants and ensure proper documentation is maintained
* Conduct field inspections to verify approved materials are used and stored appropriately
* Prepare daily reports, inspection records, and quality control documentation
* Collect, review, and file MSDS, certificates of compliance, and inspection tags
* Advise on material-related nonconformance issues and suggest corrective actions
* Monitor site practices and material storage for compliance with safety and quality regulations
* Assist in job safety and quality control initiatives for material use on infrastructure projects
* Provide technical guidance to junior staff on material control processes
* Participate in meetings related to construction materials and ensure timely resolution of material issues
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor s degree in Engineering
* At least 8 years of experience, with minimum 5 years as a material engineer on infrastructure or landscape projects
* Strong background in material inspection and testing for roads, highways, and public works
* Familiarity with UAE standards and material compliance procedures
* Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental compliance related to materials
* Excellent reporting, documentation, and verbal communication skills
* Registration with Abu Dhabi municipality or relevant equivalency certification is preferred
* Ability to analyze engineering data, create reports, and communicate technical findings effectively
