Job description

Title: Material & Corrosion Specialist

Job Description: KBR Abu Dhabi is currently looking to fill a position of Material & Corrosion Specialist for an Offshore PMC project to be based in Abu Dhabi City in the EPC Contractors office.

Profile matching the criteria below will be contacted.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 17 years of experience in Oil and Gas fields in Material and Corrosion for offshore/onshore projects. Familiarity with Corrosion Software (e.g., ECE Predict, etc.).
  2. Good interpersonal relationship, planning, and organizing skills.
  3. Good knowledge of materials for use in sour service requirements and in-depth knowledge of NACE standards MR0175/ISO 15156, MR0103, TM 0177, TM 0284, etc.
  4. Sound understanding of material/corrosion failure investigation studies for in-service and projects, establishing root cause analysis, and suggesting mitigation actions to avoid reoccurrence.
  5. Familiarity with the use of non-metallics in oil and gas applications.
  6. Good knowledge of corrosion mitigations, including chemical injection inhibitors, biocides, cathodic protection (CP), internal coatings, cladding, etc.
  7. Strong communication skills (written and oral) to clarify technical concepts to all levels of stakeholders.
  8. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
