The Masterplanning role is intended to support the Masterplanning team in the development and delivery of masterplanning and urban development projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare masterplans, spatial layouts, land use plans, urban design diagrams, and development frameworks under supervision
- Production of drawings, diagrams, and presentation materials using relevant planning and design software
- Proficient in site analysis, data collection, and research related to planning studies and development proposals
- Prepare planning reports, concept narratives, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with architecture, landscape, engineering, and other disciplines to support integrated masterplanning solutions
- Assist in responding to comments from internal reviewers, clients, and relevant authorities.
- Maintain organized project documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Support the team in meeting project deadlines, quality standards, and deliverables.
- Carry out additional masterplanning-related tasks as assigned by the line manager.
Qualities and Skills required
- Good understanding of urban design and masterplanning principles and concepts.
- Ability to develop concept sketches into workable design solutions is desirable.
- Good visual, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in typologies, urban design standards, local regulations for compliance, delivery and approvals is a plus.
- Ability to manage workflow and junior staff is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Qualifications required
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture or a related discipline from a recognized institution
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Microsoft Office or equivalent softwares. Skill in rendering techniques and software is a plus.
- Must be able to produce visually compelling graphics.
- Must exhibit ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
