Job description

Job Purpose

The job holder ensures customer satisfaction by performing quality servicing and repairs on all body-related components of commercial vehicles (trucks and buses), according to the manufacturer's specifications.

Job Responsibilities

1. Identify customer requests, analyze them with the Supervisor/Foreman, and refine the diagnostic process to identify problems.
2. Perform the requested work following manufacturer methods (recommendations and operating procedures) to ensure efficiency and quality.
3. Communicate with the foreman during work to report check results, work progress, and seek assistance as needed.
4. Observe safety rules related to equipment, instruments, and products to prevent accidents.
5. Meet the work time set by the Foreman to ensure productivity standards.
6. Initiate minor work not requested by the customer to improve service quality.
7. Diagnose electrical problems and determine corrective actions using blueprints, manuals, or catalogues.
8. Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, piping, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
9. Adjust functional parts of electrical devices or control instruments using appropriate tools.

Experience

• At least 7 years of experience in an auto service center, managing a team of technicians.

Knowledge & Skills

• Electrical troubleshooting, including downloading programs and software for vehicles.
• Overhaul of engines, transmissions, HVAC, and other mechanical repairs.
• Proficient in repairing mechanical and electrical components of commercial vehicles.
• Ability to troubleshoot, determine causes of errors, and decide corrective actions.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
