Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai is seeking an experienced Pattern Maker to craft patterns for evening dresses and wedding gowns. You will interpret design sketches, create base patterns, and grade them into multiple sizes while preserving proportion.

You will run fittings, adjust prototypes, coordinate with tailors and the product team, and maintain precise pattern records to ensure production efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reading and interpreting design sketches to understand the product requirements.
• Creating initial paper patterns and grading patterns into different sizes while maintaining the original design proportions.
• Conducting fittings and adjustments on prototypes of the designs.
• Working closely with product manager and tailors to understand the design concept.
• Making adjustments to the size and style of the pattern based on feedback from the customers.
• Maintaining accurate records of each pattern for future use.
• Ensuring that the final pattern is practical and can be used to produce the design efficiently.
• Ensures all garments meet high standards of finishing, including clean seams, precise topstitching and adherence to technical specifications.
• Keeping up to date with sewing techniques, and industry tools.
• Ensure patterns are in line with production constraints and budget requirements.
