Job summary

Mason role in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate has at least two years of masonry experience and will lay bricks, stone, and other materials for walls, foundations, partitions, arches, and related structures. Knowledge of different masonry techniques and ability to read blueprints is a plus.

This outdoor role requires physical stamina, safety awareness, and the ability to work under various weather conditions. Salary starts at 1500 AED per month, with consideration given to foreign applicants.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction industry; masonry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of different masonry techniques; ability to read blueprints is a plus.
• Good physical strength and stamina; ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; safety conscious at all times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning and patching surfaces prior to laying bricks and stones.
• Measure and mark guidelines on work surfaces to ensure accurate placement of materials.
• Cut bricks or tiles with powered saws or tile cutters as necessary.
• Smooth mortar between bricks to achieve uniform joints using trowels or other tools.
• Lay bricks, stone, tiles, and other materials according to specifications while adhering to safety regulations.
• Mix mortar with hoes or mixers as instructed by supervisors.
• Install anchors for reinforcing material in masonry structures as needed.Seal joints with mortar compounds to provide weatherproofing protection.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
