Tile Setter / Mason

Job Responsibilities:

1. Cut floor tiles and form them properly to ensure they fit around obstacles and in limited corners using power and hand tools.
2. Type floor tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue, or mortar utilizing devices such as screeds, brushes, and trowels.
3. Align ceramic tiles with straightedges, levels, and squares to ensure patterns are precise.
4. Cut, install, gloss, and surface granite and marble, ensuring precision throughout the installation process for lasting results.
5. Prepare surfaces for tiling with waterproofing material or lath and by cleaning the surfaces properly.
6. Develop attractive wall and floor layouts by laying and establishing mosaic tiles in kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces.
7. Tap floor tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, ensuring not to damage or harm tiles.
8. Follow plans accurately and mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled to determine how to tackle jobs.
9. Report to the Site Project Manager.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a tile setter in the Philippines or in UAE/GCC.
2. Readiness to complete on-the-job training.
3. Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
4. Impressive attention to detail.
5. Outstanding customer service skills.
6. Willingness to adhere to safety standards at all times.
7. Good understanding of English and basic math.
8. Good physical condition and stamina.
9. High school diploma or equivalent.
10. Carpentry and renovation experience is a plus.
