Overview

Perform routine maintenance on existing masonry structures, identifying and repairing any damage or deterioration.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests related to masonry work.
• Prepare and mix mortar or other adhesives to secure bricks or stones in place.
• Cut or shape bricks, stones, or other masonry materials to fit specific designs or paterns.
• Construct and install masonry structures, including walls, floors, and other elements, based on architectural plans and specifications.
• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, or natural stones to create sturdy and aesthetically pleasing surfaces.
• Coordinate with other facility management staff to address overall maintenance needs.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project status, timelines, and any potential issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Use personal protective equipment and implement safety measures during all masonry tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of all masonry work, including repairs, installations, and inspections.
• Customize masonry elements/tools to meet specific facility requirements, working with different materials and designs.
