The Marketing Unit Head- Emirati talent is responsible for meeting strategic objectives, marketing project management, including includes all aspects of brand development and management, design and production of materials/collateral, responsibility of media planning and buying, setting project management schedules and deliverables, and ensuring campaigns remain on brand.
Job Scope and Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the museum’s goals and target audience.
- Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media, to promote exhibitions, programs, and events.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies based on performance metrics and audience feedback.
- Collaborate with the museum’s leadership team to define marketing priorities and goals, ensuring alignment with the museum’s broader strategic plan.
Brand Management:
- Ensure consistent and effective brand messaging across all marketing and communication materials, both internal and external.
- Oversee the development of brand guidelines to maintain the integrity and positioning of the museum’s brand identity.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring that all public-facing communications align with the museum’s values and objectives.
Media & Public Relations:
- Lead media relations efforts, including drafting press releases, organizing media events, and managing relationships with journalists and influencers.
- Coordinate with the museum’s leadership on crisis communication plans and ensure timely, accurate responses to public and media inquiries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets and industry stakeholders to enhance the museum’s public profile.
Digital Marketing & Social Media:
- Oversee the museum’s digital marketing efforts, including website management, social media strategy, and digital content creation.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase online engagement, grow the museum’s social media following, and drive traffic to the museum’s website.
- Ensure digital marketing efforts reflect best practices in SEO, SEM, and user experience design.
Budget Management & Reporting:
- Develop and manage the marketing and communications budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective campaign execution.
- Prepare regular reports on marketing activities, performance metrics, and budget expenditures for senior management review.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement in the museum’s marketing efforts.
Experience & Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- + 7 years of experience in marketing and communications, with a proven track record of managing successful marketing campaigns and brand strategies.
- Experience in the cultural, museum, or nonprofit sectors essential, and in a Natural History Museum is highly desirable.
- Strong background in digital marketing, media relations, and public communication.
- Proficiency in English and Arabic is required; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial.
