Job description

As an Engineering Coordinator, you are responsible for overseeing all procedures and identifying efficient and cost-effective measures for continual improvement, supporting the overall advancement of the quality system.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all electrical equipment and ensure all electrical control panels function accurately.
  • Prepare a preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all electrical panels, motors, electrical appliances, etc.
  • Distribute work to subordinates according to their capabilities to achieve the best results.
  • Ensure that the work done by subordinates meets the specified standards.
  • Ensure that all related tools are in a safe place and in good working condition.
  • Follow the preventive maintenance chart strictly and maintain records for future reference.
  • Coordinate with counterparts in other departments to ensure their satisfaction with quality and progress, and create healthy inter-department relationships.
  • Create opportunities for engineering colleagues to multitask and enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professional and friendly communications as the first point of contact for general external inquiries and correspondence.
  • Arrange meetings and prepare agenda items.

Skills:

Education, Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Ideally, you should have a degree in mechanical and electrical engineering and previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • A good command of written and spoken English and the ability to identify and rectify system faults are essential.
  • Computer knowledge is an advantage.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to handle stress, work under pressure, and possess strong administrative skills, an analytical mind, and the ability to write concise reports.
  • You will have a high level of self-motivation and the ability to develop innovative options in the best interest of the hotel while possessing the following additional competencies:
