Job summary

ADNOC Logistics & Services in Abu Dhabi seeks a seasoned Marine Chief Engineer to lead technical oversight across gas, tanker and dry vessels. You will drive vessel engineering performance, ensure compliance with codes, and guide maintenance and reliability programs.

Responsibilities include reviewing naval architecture drawings, coordinating with internal departments, leading capital project delivery, and monitoring fuel efficiency and fleet KPIs to sustain performance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Marine Chief Engineer certificate of competency.
• Marine sailing experience as a watch keeping engineer at a management rank.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor naval architectural and design engineering best practices in marine new building projects.
• Drawing Review of vessel structural, outfitting, accommodation, machinery, and cargo drawings to ensure compliance with applicable Codes, Standards, requirements, and good engineering practices.
• Contribute to the technical performance and planning activities across the fleets by conducting analyses and coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely consolidation and execution of fleets performance.
• Direct development and execution of long term regulatory, statutory and classification requirements and plan projects accordingly.
• Develop and monitor plans and programs ensuring continuous efficiency of the fleet vessels.
• Analyse present fuel efficiency and monitor daily consumption; study means of reducing fuel consumption.
• Implement and monitor achievement of Division KPIs and Balanced Score Card to reinforce vessel-wide performance.
• Direct development and execution of minor and major capital project development, planning and delivery.
• Monitor the performance of the planned maintenance system and vessel compliance of work orders and inventory.
• Assist fleets in technical incident investigations in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Automation and Engineering as SME.
