Job summary

NMDC Energy (formerly NPCC) recruits highly skilled Marine Structural Welders to construct offshore oil platforms, perform deep-water pipe joining, and fabricate heavy steel on offshore vessels.

Daily tasks include welding thick carbon/stainless pipes per ADNOC drawings, preparing joints for X-ray/UT testing, and safely handling gas cylinders on a moving barge deck. Eligibility requires 6G/6GR tests and a valid T-BOSIET certificate.

Qualifications

• Passing the strict 6G and 6GR pipe welding tests in front of ADNOC safety inspectors.
• Holding a valid T-BOSIET certificate for helicopter travel and deep-water escapes.
• Exhibiting excellent balance while working on a moving ship deck with heavy welding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Weld thick carbon steel and stainless steel pipes per ADNOC drawings.
• Clean welded joints to pass X-ray and UT testing using wire brushes.
• Move heavy oxygen and acetylene cylinders safely across the moving barge deck with proper trolleys.
• Stop all open-flame hot work when the safety alarm sounds on the barge.

Job description

NMDC Energy (formerly NPCC) requires highly skilled Marine Structural Welders to construct offshore oil platforms, perform deep-water pipe joining, and execute heavy steel fabrication on offshore vessels.

Daily Offshore Tasks:

• Weld thick carbon steel and stainless steel pipes strictly following approved ADNOC technical drawings.
• Clean the freshly welded joints completely using wire brushes to pass the strict X-ray and ultrasonic testing (UT).
• Move heavy oxygen and acetylene gas cylinders safely across the moving barge deck using proper lifting trolleys.
• Stop all open-flame hot work immediately when the central barge safety alarm sounds for helicopter landings.

Rules for Selection:

• Welding Certification: Passing the strict 6G and 6GR pipe welding test in front of the main ADNOC safety inspectors is completely mandatory.
• Marine Survival: Holding a valid T-BOSIET certificate to prove readiness for helicopter travel and deep-water emergency escapes.
• Physical Balance: Working continuously on a moving ship deck while holding heavy welding equipment requires excellent body balance.
