Job Description

• Troubleshoot and repair marine electrical systems: Switchboards, power distribution, generator controls, emergency systems.
• Service, calibrate, and configure automation systems: PLCs, HMI, SCADA, Engine Monitoring Systems (EMS), Alarm Monitoring Systems (AMS).
• Perform inspections, fault diagnostics, and root cause analysis.
• Support electrical retrofits, system upgrades, and commissioning.
• Interpret electrical schematics, PLC logic, and system layouts.
• Prepare detailed service reports, compliance documentation, and wiring modifications.
• Liaise with OEMs and classification societies.
• Ensure adherence to IMO, SOLAS, and Class regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Location: [UAE, OMAN, INDIA]

Education: Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering.

Experience: 3+ years in marine electrical and automation service.

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience with PLCs (Siemens, Delta, Schneider, ABB), SCADA, HMI.
• Diagnostics and troubleshooting of marine electrical & control systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and work independently onboard.
• Clear communication, reporting, and client coordination.
• Ability to work under pressure during urgent vessel requirements.
• Team player with a customer-focused mindset.

Certifications (Preferred):

• STCW Basic Safety Training
• Medical Fitness Certificate
• OEM training in PLC/automation systems

Physical Demands:

• Ability to work in engine rooms.

Working Conditions:

• Onshore-based with site visits to vessels in port, dry dock, or shipyards, with occasional offshore attendance as required.
