Job summary

Al Safwan Marine in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a proactive Sales Engineer to grow our marine safety services and equipment supply. You will visit vessels, yards and ship-management offices across UAE ports, understanding technical requirements, and coordinating quotations with our operations team.

You will work closely with service engineers on lifeboat and liferaft inspections, fire-fighting equipment, hydraulics and automation, and represent our partner brands in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marine, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years in B2B technical sales, ideally marine, offshore or oil & gas.
• Knowledge of SOLAS life-saving and fire-fighting appliances is a strong advantage.
• Existing network of ship managers, owners or shipyards in the UAE / GCC.
• Confident preparing technical quotations and following up to close.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Fluent English; Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Visit vessels, yards and ship-management offices across UAE ports.
• Develop new business and manage key accounts for marine safety services and equipment.
• Prepare quotations with operations team and follow enquiries through to order.
• Coordinate with service engineers on lifeboat inspections, fire-fighting equipment, load testing, hydraulics and automation.
• Represent partner brands in the region.
