Marine Operations Lead (Marine Engineering) - UAE - Salary AED 20k - 25K

Our client, a leading company in the Marine Engineering & Service industry, is seeking to hire a Marine Operations Lead based in UAE.

Salary Range: AED 20K – 25K + Benefits

Purpose of the Job

The Marine Operations Lead will oversee and optimise daily operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost-effective execution of projects while adhering to industry regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of marine operations.
  • Support the General Manager in maintaining high standards of marine services and ensure proper execution of authority functions.
  • Assist in operational matters as needed and participate as a member of the Management Team.
  • Review operational demand to ensure adequate staffing for safety and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with marine, logistics, and technical departments for seamless operations.
  • Stay updated on legal and technical developments affecting operations locally and internationally.
  • Monitor performance KPIs to evaluate operational success.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and other relevant procedures.
  • Maintain records of maintenance, operations, and other activities.
  • Communicate proactively with staff and oversee operational procedures.
  • Manage operational budgets to meet financial targets.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for personnel safety during vessel operations.
  • Report regularly on operational performance to senior management.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans for crises or unforeseen events.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of marine technology, navigation systems, and vessel operations.
  • Experience in operational management roles.
  • Understanding of the Port Marine Safety Code and regulatory duties of the Statutory Harbour Authority.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
Health & Safety

Adhere to safety duties to minimize risks for yourself, colleagues, and the public, in line with Health & Safety at Work regulations.

Qualifications include a degree or relevant graduation, along with MS Office proficiency.
