A leading maritime company in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager. This role involves overseeing fleet operations, implementing management strategies, and ensuring compliance with maritime regulations. You will lead a team, manage budgets, and prepare performance reports. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering and significant experience in fleet management, particularly with DP2 vessels.

Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the fleet, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fleet management strategies to optimize performance and minimize operational costs.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to ensure operational readiness of all vessels.
  • Manage and mentor the fleet personnel, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and training.
  • Monitor fleet performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure service quality and address any operational concerns.
  • Manage fleet-related budgets, control expenditures, and analyze financial performance.
  • Ensure effective communication between departments to enhance collaboration and operational efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting fleet operations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on fleet status and performance to senior management.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field

  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to manage diverse teams
  • Experience with DP2 vessels is essential.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for fleet oversight and operations
  • Relevant certifications in maritime safety and management (e.g., ISM, ISPS) are advantageous.
