Job Description

As a Marine Engineering Lecturer, you will support the Academy's strategic goals by teaching various maritime subjects, including Marine Propulsion Systems, Engineering Management, and Marine Engineering Operations. You will conduct research to continuously deliver industry-leading maritime training, employing innovative teaching methods.

Qualification, Skills, and Experience

Essential:

  • STCW Class 1 Certificate of Competency (Engineer) Unlimited
  • MSc or equivalent Master level qualification in a relevant subject
  • Business-level written and spoken English
  • Ability to work within a team and across different cultures
  • Ability to work under pressure, completing tasks promptly and efficiently

Desirable:

  • Experience in maritime education and/or training
  • Sailing experience as a Chief Engineer on merchant ships
  • Educational experience with leading courses/programs, revising content, and developing new courses
  • Knowledge of student-centered teaching methodologies
