Job summary

Tanqeeb in the United Arab Emirates seeks a procurement professional to manage sourcing for marble, granite, and factory needs. You will review requests, source suppliers, obtain quotations, and prepare Purchase Orders, ensuring proper approvals.

You will coordinate with Stores, Production, Projects, Accounts, and HR to ensure timely deliveries, monitor prices, and drive cost-saving opportunities while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, with exposure to marble/granite, construction, or factory sourcing.
• Ability to source materials from approved suppliers and compare quotations.
• Comfort negotiating favorable terms and managing supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review purchase requests from departments and projects.
• Source materials and services from approved suppliers.
• Obtain quotations based on price, quality, delivery time, and terms.
• Prepare POs and secure necessary approvals.
• Coordinate with Stores, Production, Projects, Engineering, Accounts and HR.
• Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Verify materials received against PO and specifications.
• Maintain supplier database and records of POs, quotations and invoices.
• Follow up on orders and ensure timely deliveries.
