Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a procurement professional in the United Arab Emirates to identify, negotiate, and implement purchasing agreements that drive efficiencies in line with financial and procurement requirements.

You will coordinate suppliers, prepare bid lists, expedite outstanding orders, monitor day-to-day procurement activities, and maintain records on costs, delivery dates, warranties, and inventory to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in purchasing.
• Good knowledge of purchase procedures during the procurement process.
• Client or customer awareness.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple procurement processes.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
• Knowledge of supplier management and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Able to identify, negotiate, and implement purchasing agreements that lead to efficiencies in line with financial and procurement requirements.
• Ensures that all purchasing activities comply with regulations and laws related to purchasing practices and are in accordance with the Purchasing Agreement and standard practices.
• Coordinates, assesses, and selects suppliers or vendors providing quality services on time at competitive prices.
• Prepare and develop supplier bid lists to obtain competitive quotations for commodities, services, and materials.
• Expedites outstanding purchase orders from other departments to ensure delivery requirements are met on time.
• Assists in developing and establishing new sources of supply.
• Assesses, coordinates, and resolves issues with end-user departments and suppliers regarding defective or unacceptable goods, determining the best corrective action.
• Monitors and controls day-to-day procurement operations, ensuring procured items are delivered on time and meet company standards.
• Prepares reports, evaluations, vendor assessments, and other materials related to the Purchasing Department as needed.
• Maintains and reviews records of purchased items, including costs, delivery dates, warranties, product performance, and inventories.
