Job description

Lead and mentor a team of quantity surveyors and assistant QSs.

Allocate responsibilities and manage workload distribution.

Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

2. Cost Estimation and Budgeting

Prepare and maintain detailed cost estimates and project budgets.

Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure alignment with financial forecasts.

Conduct value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

3. Tendering and Procurement

Oversee the preparation of tender documents and manage the tendering process.

Evaluate bids and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.

Ensure procurement activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

4. Contract Administration

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Monitor contract performance and manage variations, claims, and disputes.

Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions throughout the project lifecycle.

5. Financial Reporting and Cost Control

Prepare and analyse financial reports, including cost reports and cash flow forecasts.

Identify and address cost variances and implement corrective actions as needed.

Provide regular updates to senior management and clients on financial performance.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, RICS) is preferred.
  • proven track record in managing large-scale fit out construction projects.
  • Experience in the Middle East FITOUT construction market preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
