Product Management Specialist

Supports the client for profit and growth for cards, from revenue to credit costs (including Fraud) and direct/allocated costs. Supports client for product management for cards, audit, compliance matters, and complaints support. Guides and supports in executing strategies aimed at generating revenue through products in alignment with consumer banking strategy, with a focus on whole bank value. Provides guidance and support to client-facing professionals and sales teams to solve complex client needs through products in conjunction with acquisitions vertical. Supports the development and execution of marketing campaigns to drive product growth, ensuring collaboration with the internal marketing team and acquisitions vertical. Helps execute end-to-end solutions for all client segments, resulting in superior customer experience. Supports training internal stakeholders about the product offerings to facilitate product roll-out. Performs competitive benchmarking of products vis-à-vis competitors and market, and reviews pricing periodically.

Product Innovation and Development

Supports the development of consumer product strategies and value propositions aligned with customer needs and market trends. Provides guidance in services/products and sub-product performance, leading development based on market trends and customer needs. Helps execute product strategy to deliver consumer banking solutions to clients. Supports CVP enhancement of existing services and helps develop and implement new digital-first product solutions. Monitors and evaluates competitive and regulatory environments to ensure products remain competitive and meet client needs. Assists in executing strategic and tactical roadmaps to enhance products and services. Collaborates across teams to identify gaps and opportunities for product improvement to address customer requirements.

Internal Collaboration

Works with cross-product client teams to maximize cross-selling opportunities. Collaborates with stakeholders including Operations, Technology, Credit, Legal, and Risk to deliver effective client experiences. Supports the commercialization of new products, including pricing recommendations, sales tools, and training, to ensure successful launches. Monitors product performance post-launch and resolves issues for continuous improvement.

Execution and Implementation

Supports large program delivery from initiation to benefit realization. Ensures projects are executed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards, re-aligning scope as needed for maximum value. Builds strong client relationships and serves as a trusted resource. Identifies new business opportunities for Mastercard solutions.

Team Work & Culture

Develops sound business recommendations, delivers client presentations, and organizes work efficiently. Leads meetings and project management efforts. Contributes to Mastercard’s intellectual capital and solution development. Mentors junior team members and fosters ownership of project management.

All About Your Education & Skills

  • 10-12 years of relevant experience in cards product management.
  • Regional experience preferred (e.g., GCC).
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Fluent in local language and English; other languages desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of project management tools preferred.
  • Structured project management approach and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
