Job description

The purpose of this role is to exceed revenue, margin, and cost targets while maintaining strong operational and business relationships with partners on a day-to-day basis. The role is responsible for growing revenues and margins from existing services, as well as developing new and incremental revenue streams from inorganic growth areas and new business opportunities. It includes independent ownership of the P&L for at least one business stream and close collaboration with various du teams to consistently exceed quality KPIs for both existing and new products.

Key Accountabilities:

  • P&L: Exceed the Revenue, Margin, Cost and Quality KPI’s for existing businesses and new businesses.
  • Partner Profile: The partners are Large Enterprise Customers like: - Mobile Network Operators (MNO’s) like Etisalat Group, Saudi Telecom Company (STC), Ooredoo Group, AT&T, Verizon, Vodafone Group, Orange Group, Airtel Group, Hutchison Group, Telefonica Group, China Mobile, China Telecom etc. / Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO’s) like Virgin, Lycamoble, 1Global etc. / Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE’s) like Transatel, Webbing etc. / Wholesale Messaging Aggregators like SAP, Twilio, GMS, Routemobile, Tanla etc. / Wholesale Voice Carriers like Tata Canada, Vodafone Carrier Services (VCS), Belgacom International Carrier Services (BICS), Telecom Italia Sparkle (TIS), Telenor Global Services (TGS) etc. / Cloud Service Providers / OTT’s like Microsoft, Google, Avaya, CISCO etc.
  • Roaming Agreements: Manage approx. 250 Preferred Roaming Agreements with roaming partners globally.
  • Knowledge Base: Expert with wide and extensive knowledge base to understand and handle multiple businesses with multiple business dynamics.
  • New Business Development for Inorganic Growth: Drive this activity in the areas of roaming, messaging, satellite, M2M, IoT, IoV, access numbers, voice, 5G Monetization etc.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain strong business relationships ongoing contact with counter parts and their senior management in to enhance cooperation with partners that drives existing as well as new businesses.
  • New Roaming Services: Actively manage the roll out of new roaming services like VoLTE etc. with partners.
  • External Business Operations: Manage all aspects of business - like commercial negotiations; agreement management, quality management, order management and delivery etc.
  • Internal Business Operations: Manage all aspects of business – like agreement management, approvals, quality management, order management and delivery, agreement archiving etc.
  • Commercial Negotiations: For each business, manage difficult and complex commercial negotiations with business partners to conclude long term and high value bilateral agreements running into Millions of Dirhams.
  • Business Sense: Manage the distinct and mutually exclusive businesses and market dynamics for each of different business lines handled.
  • Business Cycle: Manage the entire span of New Business Development and Business Continuity including but not limited to prospecting, contacting, qualifying, negotiating agreement, network interconnecting, testing services, launching services, billing and collecting for services and operationally managing partner relationships.
  • Customer Experience: Continually work with all EITC teams to enhance Customer Experience by ensuring highest quality of service to EITC customers for IDD voice calling, international roaming and messaging.
  • Profitability of Segments: Improve Profitability of Consumer and Enterprise teams by continually negotiate lower cost agreements with business partners to reduce cost of wholesale voice and messaging.
  • Global Wholesale Events: Represent EITC in Global Wholesale Events like ITW, PTC, WAS, Capacity etc.
  • Wholesale Tools: Expert knowledge of working on well-known wholesale business management tools like, CSG, Mobileum, Syniverse, Nextgen etc.
  • Efficiencies: Continually drive higher business efficiencies by improving processes.
  • Internal Teams: Work with Internal Stakeholders and Support Teams to achieve the annual financial and non-financial targets.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all wholesale Processes, Governance and Compliance.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Business Marketing, or Engineering
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in Wholesale Mobility Business.
  • Aggressive hunter of new business in all the businesses of wholesale mobility.
  • Expert commercial and technical knowledge of services like Internet of Vehicle (IoV), Machine to Machine (M2M). Global Travel e-SIM, Satellite, access numbers, 5G, VoLTE, Steering of Roaming (SoR) etc.
  • Excellent Commercial and Technical understanding of existing wholesale mobility business.
  • Experience in managing a Business Partners relationships to achieve Revenue & Margin Targets.
  • Demonstrate a constructive approach in handling partner issues and business issues.
  • Strong track record of maintaining significant customer relationships.
  • Strong track record of identifying new potential revenue streams through new products and services and new business opportunities.
  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and commitment to organization objectives.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and demonstration of negotiating high value commercial agreements.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent Presentation skills.
