About Wynn Al Marjan Island

On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in early 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island is a luxurious beachside destination designed for discerning guests to relax and enjoy entertainment. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this resort features 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and a five-star spa. It is currently under construction on a picturesque island that curves into the Arabian Gulf.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is seeking a Manager of Wedding & Social Events to join the hotel’s Sales team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assess and manage wedding and event inquiries by negotiating room rates, minimum food and beverage spends, and room-to-space ratios to secure business and meet departmental goals. Maximize revenue across all sales channels.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with wedding planners locally and internationally to generate leads and convert them into bookings.
  3. Develop innovative concepts to attract destination, regional, and local weddings, collaborating with operational teams to ensure effective sales processes.
  4. Drive wedding sales through new business acquisition, designing bespoke décor concepts, and partnering with vendors to deliver exceptional experiences.
  5. Upsell wedding packages and merchandise to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  6. Engage with stakeholders to identify and act on growth opportunities.
  7. Make strategic decisions based on business trends, guest satisfaction, and revenue data.
  8. Represent the resort at tradeshows and industry events, maintaining high standards and executing territory strategies with performance tracking.
  9. Ensure professional and accurate guest correspondence, with flexible booking policies to meet client needs.
  10. Manage client communications and inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  11. Coordinate guest reservations for various services to enhance guest experience.
  12. Gather and organize all event details from clients before finalizing agreements, then communicate these to the service team for flawless execution.
  13. Monitor group and event budgets, ensuring targets are met quarterly and annually.
  14. Prepare departmental reports for the Director of Event Sales.
  15. Manage contracts, billing, deposits, and payments with accuracy.
  16. Represent the department in meetings during the Director’s absence.
  17. Conduct regular meetings with team members to review goals and progress.
  18. Promote teamwork and support within the team to meet standards.
  19. Collaborate with marketing to promote events and enhance sales, including generating sales reports and suggesting improvements.
  20. Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Marketing, or Business Administration (preferred).
  • At least 3 years of related experience and a minimum of 5 years in hotel sales.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Delphi, and hotel operating systems.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute long-term strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Proven ability to meet quarterly room night goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address client needs and maximize revenue.
  • Experience in cultivating and maintaining long-term client relationships.
