Job description

Job Purpose

Reporting directly to the Director of Travel Industry Sales, the Travel Industry Sales Manager is responsible for coordinating partners’ promotions (online and offline), operational execution, campaign analysis, and project management. The role involves managing relationships with all Travel Industry partners for Wynn Al Marjan Island.

Essential Duties
  1. Strategic Planning and Execution: Support the development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve targets for room nights, ADR, and revenue from the leisure segment. Plan sales strategies, tactics, and activities within the designated portfolio or market territory.
  2. Contract Negotiation and Process: Execute pre-qualification and rate negotiations with third-party partners, ensuring favorable terms. Assist with the annual contracting process and evaluate high-value partnership opportunities.
  3. Sales and Marketing: Identify and close high-value sales opportunities. Plan and execute sales and marketing activities, utilizing cost of sale data to maximize effectiveness in collaboration with partners and the Director.
  4. Partner & Departmental Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with key partners across various departments and network within the industry.
  5. Promotional Activities: Coordinate creation of promotional rate codes and participate in developing targeted partner promotions.
  6. Goal Setting: Achieve monthly and annual targets for room nights, revenue, and ADR, ensuring alignment with the resort’s budget.
  7. Representation and Networking: Represent the resort at trade shows, road shows, and sales trips. Prospect for new business opportunities and foster growth for the team.
  8. Rate Strategy: Develop and implement tactical rate strategies to maximize ADR and occupancy, ensuring competitiveness.
  9. Campaign Analysis and Project Management: Oversee marketing campaigns and projects, analyze performance, and optimize future efforts based on data.
  10. Operational Execution: Ensure seamless operation of all accounts and activities, coordinating with departments for promotional activities and events.
  11. Brand Awareness and Visibility: Work with airline, travel agency, DMC, wholesaler, and OTA partners to enhance brand exposure.
  12. VIP and High-Profile Guest Management: Build and maintain relationships with VIP partners to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  13. Other Duties: Conduct site inspections, manage group files, issue contracts, and process bookings as directed.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Hospitality Management required.
Skills / Knowledge
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience required.
  • At least 5 years of hotel sales experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and hotel operating systems.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
