Job description

Job Purpose:Collaborate with Research team and reporting management to perform due diligence and alignment to ensure commercially and strategically relevant research outcomes emerging from DEWA R&D, and subsequently evaluate the commercial potential for the same to maximize the strategic relevance and commercial value generation from DEWA R&D's research outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Enabling Environment (Resources, Platform and Initiatives): Develop a conducive environment and overall framework to support all DEWA R&D teams in aligning their activities as per strategic objectives, emerging technologies, market trends and best practices by identifying and implementing ideation sessions, related workshops, tools, platforms, processes, etc. and collaborating with Technical Integration team member(s).

Technology Opportunity Analysis:Manage forecasting, due diligence and analysis to provide inputs for technology due diligence reports to identify, assess, and steer research lines and tasks. Manage research topic assessment (i.e. technology & market landscape) using defined criteria. Evaluate letter of intent and research proposals by utilizing research topic assessment done by using defined criteria and templates.

Research Output Facilitation: Manage and facilitate brainstorming sessions/ ideation sessions to support researchers in idea generation for intended research proposals. Conduct deep technical systematic inventive thinking workshops to support researchers in invention creation and product development.

Education and Experience:

• Fresh PhD graduates in Engineering are welcome to apply. However please note that this is not a researchposition.
• Masters degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience in due diligence positions in research institutions or R&D units in industries.
• Experience in Technology Evaluation, systematic inventive thinking workshops, ideation, invent, due diligence, benchmarking, emerging technologies.
• Must be based in UAE
