Overview

Job Overview :

The job holder will be responsible for monitor all aspects of Property, Liability, Casualty, Marine and Engineering Underwriting and Claims business lines and provide timely reports to the Head of Technical Department. The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for solving complex problems.

Job location note: Candidate Must be in UAE

Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor all aspects of Property, Liability, Casualty, Marine and Engineering Underwriting and Claims business lines and provide timely reports to the Head of Technical Department.
  • Developing strategies that align with the overall objectives of the organization.
  • Overseeing and supervision of risks associated with property, liability, and casualty insurance. This involves understanding and evaluating potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Guide the Technical Underwriting and Claims Department to ensure efficient operations and high customer satisfaction by developing and implementing underwriting and claims handling procedures, as well as risk management processes.
Job Requirements
  • Relevant commercial lines underwriting experience in insurance companies.
  • ACII, CPCU / FIII / Alll qualification preferred.
  • 8+ years of Insurance industry experience in UAE - Commercial Insurance Setting.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Excellent understanding of risk assessment and underwriting principles.
  • Familiarity with underwriting software and other relevant tools.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Sound decision-making skills and ability to exercise judgment in complex situations.

Fluency in English (speak and write) is mandatory ( Knowledge of an additional language besides Arabic is a benefit.)
