Job description

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Manager, Comms Design & Business Planning to work on a high-profile destination marketing client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities to maximize media investments, translating market data into actionable insights, and developing comprehensive media and communications strategies. They must have a strong ability to connect business goals, marketing objectives, and media KPIs, while also being a skilled storyteller who can clearly communicate the value of marketing opportunities to brands.

This role requires a deep understanding of media intelligence, audience insights, and cultural trends to craft impactful, data-rich strategies that drive clear business outcomes.

Client Partnership & Strategic Leadership

  • Develop a deep understanding of the client's business, industry landscape, and competitive environment to uncover growth opportunities.
  • Translate business goals and marketing objectives into clear, measurable media KPIs that align with overall strategy.
  • Uncover media and marketing intelligence to surface impactful insights and craft culturally relevant strategies that drive brand growth.

Market Analysis & Strategic Planning Ability

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and audience insights to inform media strategies.
  • Ensure the communications plan is built on solid, data-rich fundamentals that help brands grow.
  • Champion data-driven storytelling, translating complex data into clear, compelling strategic narratives that clients can easily understand and act upon.
  • Synergize multiple data points into a cohesive, strategic communications narrative.
  • Develop and present business cases for media investment, backed by robust market data and ROI projections.

Collaboration & Tools Expertise

  • Work closely with creative, media, and analytics teams to ensure seamless integration of paid, owned, and earned media into the overall strategy.
  • Leverage expertise in media, business, and audience tools (e.g., GWI, Euromonitor, YouGov, industry reports) to generate actionable insights.
  • Know how to apply and adapt media intelligence tools effectively based on various client needs.
