This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the Solutions Engineering team within the Gulf region.

You will establish objectives and work plans, delegate assignments, and ensure that the SE organization aligns with F5's goals.

What you'll do

  • Uphold F5's Business Code of Ethics and report violations promptly.
  • Manage the Gulf SE team, including performance evaluations, approving time off, delegating work, providing training, guiding staff, conducting performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and interviewing candidates.
  • Define core objectives, strategy, and priorities for the SE team for the fiscal year.
  • Collaborate with management to determine headcounts quarterly and annually, ensuring scalability to meet goals.
  • Manage recruitment processes in partnership with HR.
  • Ensure effective communication and foster teamwork within the department and organization.
  • Develop the SE organization to meet and exceed goals, including technical and professional development.
  • Maintain an effective partner plan involving PS, Marketing, and PM teams.
  • Plan strategically to scale the SE organization and develop retention, recognition, compensation, and career paths.
  • Assess skills and plan job roles accordingly.
  • Ensure the SE team remains customer-focused by driving product requirements, understanding market trends, and ensuring customer success.
  • Manage post-sales issues and escalations with support teams.
  • Present F5's strategies, solutions, and roadmaps to clients.
  • Understand customer requirements and challenges to recommend appropriate F5 solutions.
  • Analyze business strategies, identify market trends, and communicate insights to sales and SE teams.
  • Identify competitors and support sales efforts with product feasibility analyses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
  • Experience managing technical SE teams in a leadership role.
  • Thorough knowledge of networking technologies and application delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
  • Self-motivated with persuasive abilities.
  • Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
