This position is responsible for securing new revenue within the geographical scope area, with a special focus on the Middle East and India’s existing portfolio of Fertilizers clients, as well as seeking out new clients. The role is expected to focus on hunting new business.
Ensuring that all activities within the area of responsibility are fulfilled in compliance with the rules, laws, and procedures provided by the Company's head office in various manuals (Operating Procedures).
Liaise with the line managers to ensure the establishment of the necessary systems to support the effective implementation and management of quality control activities across the inspections.
Develop and implement sales strategies in consultation with the reporting manager.
Responsible for reaching monthly/yearly targets of sales, revenue, and profitability of the Commodities business segment as defined and communicated separately.
Interaction with other departments for smooth operation. All queries and complaints are answered professionally within the set time limit.
Liaising with clients and attending meetings as required with suppliers/agents with professional service rendered.
Active participation in the area’s (South Asia and Middle East) strategy-setting exercises, guided by an intimate knowledge of the area’s market conditions and clients’ requirements.
Assist in presenting details for the area’s (South Asia and Middle East) 3YP and yearly budgets.
Implement the agreed regional strategy by maximizing synergies, competencies transfers, and cross-sales in the area.
Develop the Group’s business in the area (South Asia and Middle East) by directing product-level sales of the Group’s services in accordance with the Group’s strategy, and, where appropriate, country-specific services.
Be part of the global marketing platform and help in developing Cotecna’s other affiliates.
Encourage and guide regional-level preparation and presentation of business cases for new initiatives in Fertilizers such as investments, alliances, acquisitions, etc.
Ensure full compliance with all Group procedures.
Manage relations with potential customers and with local and regional institutions.
Promote services/products in coordination with the product development team.
Manage the tenders’ preparation and subsequent presentations and negotiations.
Prepare financial feasibility studies or financial offers in collaboration with the Financial Analyst.
Oversee the start-up and implementation phases of new contracts.
Support client relations during the implementation phase and facilitate relationships with the area.
Monitor market feedback expressed by clients’ requirements and define the scope of new services related to the core commercial business.

The Sales and Marketing Manager – Commodities has a primary mission of business development to drive growth and profitability for the company by identifying and pursuing new opportunities, executing strategic plans, building relationships, leading and developing a high-performing team, and analyzing market trends and the competitive landscape.
As a sales leader, you will contact (meetings/phone/email/online) key decision-makers in businesses (both new and existing) with the aim of creating new and continued business relationships and selling products & services from Cotecna’s portfolio.
