Checkout.com – Sales Engineer (Dubai)

Checkout.com is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and guidance to our clients in the MENA region throughout the entire sales lifecycle, ensuring technical ownership of client relationships from initial contact through to solutioning, integration, and go‑live stages.

What You Will Do

• Conduct upfront qualification of merchants' technical needs.
• Collaborate with Sales to support pre‑sales activities, providing product, business, and technical knowledge.
• Prepare and lead technical and commercial workshops for prospective merchants.
• Provide inputs and design solutions for high‑value proposals, RFPs and RFIs.
• Improve solution design quality, documentation, and clarity for complex merchant solutions.
• Translate product, business, and technical requirements into concrete, viable solutions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date industry expertise to offer best‑in‑class bespoke solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Pre‑Sales Consultant.
• Prior experience in a technical client‑facing role.
• Strong knowledge of API‑based integration methods, best practices and relevant tools/frameworks.
• Experience with at least one front‑end (JavaScript, React, Angular, etc.) and back‑end (Java, .NET, Python, Node, etc.) technology.
• Commercially minded with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize shifting workloads and responsibilities.
• Ability to translate technical jargon into business language.
• Experience handling RFI/RFP processes and involvement in sales proposals.
• Strong payments industry knowledge, including rules, regulations and payment schemes.
