Job description

Support the AVP of Assurance & Monitoring in performing AML/CFT related control testing programs in line with GCDD procedures.

Follow and implement the annual review schedule in accordance with regulatory requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

QA & Testing

• Perform approved assurance testing plans, identifying key compliance risks and issues.
• Ensure testing is completed according to agreed milestones.
• Track and monitor all assurance testing issues until resolution.
• Coordinate with the business as necessary.
• Promote awareness of internal controls and demonstrate the contribution of Assurance and Monitoring.
• Track and close recommendations.
• Perform trend analysis and advise on corrective actions.
• Manage ad hoc and administrative activities as assigned by line managers.

Professional / Technical

• Analyze and challenge complex activities considering regulatory requirements.
• Possess strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies, review, and gather data.
• Critically analyze data to identify trends, themes, and outliers.
• Manage time effectively, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain high standards.

Audit

• Follow up and provide technical support to the Risk and Control team for closure of audit, regulatory, and compliance findings.

Reporting

• Record assurance testing results and report to the AVP - Head of KYC Review & Onboarding.
• Write high-quality reports presenting review findings clearly.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Management, Banking, or Finance, with certifications in compliance, governance, risk management, or internal audit preferred.
• 5-6 years of banking experience, preferably in an international bank operating in regulated jurisdictions.
• 3-4 years of experience in a KYC role.
• Internal Audit and Compliance Assurance experience is advantageous.
• Relevant experience in Compliance/AML/KYC/Transaction Monitoring.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Proactive, business-oriented, with strong prioritization and assessment skills.
