Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology seeks an accomplished Project Manager to lead civil and MEP projects in Dubai. You will oversee end-to-end execution, review drawings and specs, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires 10–15+ years of multidisciplinary project experience in civil/MEP, UAE/GCC exposure, and strong PM certifications. A robust focus on QA/QC and HSE is essential for successful handovers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, MEP engineering or related discipline.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent PM certification preferred.
• Master’s degree in engineering, project management or MBA is an advantage.

Job description

• Project Management & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end execution of civil and MEP projects.

  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and deliverables.

  • Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, and project requirements.

  • Coordinate construction activities with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, consultants, subcontractors, and clients.

  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective/recovery actions for delays.

  • Manage site issues, technical queries, variations, and project interfaces.

  • Ensure timely completion, testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover.

  Civil Works

  • Oversee civil construction including excavation, foundations, structural works, concrete, masonry, roads, drainage, waterproofing, and finishing.

  • Review civil drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.

  • Ensure construction complies with approved designs, specifications, and quality requirements.

  • Coordinate civil works with MEP and other disciplines.

  MEP Works

  • Manage MEP installation and coordination activities across project sites.

  • Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, fire alarm, drainage, and other MEP systems as applicable.

  • Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals.

  • Coordinate MEP interfaces with civil, structural, architectural, and specialist works.

  • Ensure timely inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.

  Planning & Project Controls

  • Develop and monitor project schedules, milestones, and resource plans.

  • Track manpower, materials, equipment, productivity, and project costs.

  • Monitor critical-path activities and prepare recovery plans where required.

  • Review progress reports, forecasts, and project performance indicators.

  • Coordinate procurement and material requirements with project schedules.

  Quality & HSE

  • Ensure compliance with approved Quality Plans, ITPs, specifications, and inspection procedures.

  • Monitor quality of civil and MEP works and ensure timely closure of NCRs and defects.

  • Ensure compliance with company, client, and UAE HSE requirements.

  • Conduct project reviews, site inspections, and safety meetings.

  • Promote safe working practices and maintain high standards of workmanship.

  Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and mentor civil, MEP, planning, QA/QC, and site teams.

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.

  • Conduct regular progress and coordination meetings.

  • Resolve technical, commercial, and execution issues efficiently.

  • Provide regular project updates to senior management.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, MEP Engineering, or related discipline.

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or MBA is an advantage.

  Experience

  • Typically 10–15+ years of relevant experience in civil, MEP, construction, EPC, or infrastructure projects.

  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary projects from execution through handover.

  • UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.

  • Experience with major consultants, contractors, clients, and government/utility authorities is an advantage.
