Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology in the UAE seeks an experienced Construction & Project Execution leader to drive large-scale engineering projects from planning to handover.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure designs and construction meet UAE standards, manage schedules and budgets, and uphold safety and quality.

This role requires 12-18+ years of UAE/GCC experience; PMP/PRINCE2 certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/mechanical/electrical/structural engineering or related field.
• Master's degree or MBA is an advantage.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction and site execution activities for assigned projects.
• Plan and monitor activities, milestones, resources and subcontractors.
• Review scope, drawings, BOQs, method statements, and contracts.
• Ensure work aligns with designs, schedules, quality standards and HSE.
• Monitor progress, manage delays/risks, and implement recovery actions.

Construction & Project Execution

• Lead overall construction and site execution activities for assigned engineering projects.




• Plan and monitor project activities, milestones, resources, manpower, and subcontractors.




• Review project scope, drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, and contractual requirements.




• Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved designs, schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.




• Monitor project progress, identify delays and risks, and implement recovery actions.




• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments.




• Manage site issues, technical queries, variations, and construction interfaces.




• Ensure timely project completion, handover, snag clearance, and closeout.

Design & Engineering

• Lead engineering and design activities from concept and detailed design through construction and commissioning.




• Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, BOQs, and technical submissions.




• Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, MEP, and other disciplines.




• Ensure designs are practical, constructible, cost-effective, and compliant with project requirements.




• Review consultant and contractor design submissions and coordinate technical approvals.




• Manage design changes, technical clarifications, RFIs, and engineering modifications.




• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE standards, authority requirements, and international engineering standards.

Project Management & Controls

• Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.




• Monitor project performance against approved cost, time, scope, and quality targets.




• Manage project risks, issues, changes, and contractual requirements.




• Review progress reports, forecasts, cash flows, and project performance indicators.




• Coordinate procurement and material requirements to support construction schedules.




• Ensure effective utilization of manpower, equipment, and project resources.

Quality & HSE

• Ensure implementation of project Quality Management Plans, ITPs, procedures, and inspection requirements.




• Monitor construction and engineering activities for compliance with approved standards.




• Ensure compliance with company, client, and UAE HSE requirements.




• Review and close quality and HSE observations, NCRs, and corrective actions.




• Promote a strong safety and quality culture across project teams.

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering, construction, planning, QA/QC, and site teams.




• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.




• Conduct regular project review and coordination meetings.




• Resolve technical, commercial, and execution issues in a timely manner.




• Provide regular project status and performance updates to senior management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural Engineering, or related discipline.




• Master's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or an MBA will be an advantage.




• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.

Experience

• Typically 12-18+ years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, design, EPC, or infrastructure projects.




• Proven experience managing large, multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects.




• Strong UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.




• Experience working with major clients, consultants, contractors, and government/utility authorities is an advantage.




• Strong experience in project planning, design coordination, construction management, and project controls.
