JOB TITLE

Manager - People & Organization | MAF Retail | Hypermarket UAE

Role Summary

The Manager of Human Capital will lead the implementation of the regional HC strategy, ensuring alignment with global goals. They will oversee key services, processes, and policies to drive efficiency and effectiveness, while partnering with country leadership to foster a high-performing, diverse, and agile organizational culture.

Role Profile
  1. Lead the HC strategy for the Gulf Region (Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman), overseeing 5,500+ employees and AED 452M staff cost.
  2. Drive workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, and HC service delivery aligned with global strategy.
  3. Build organizational capability through effective hiring, development, and retention strategies.
  4. Oversee training, talent management, and succession planning to ensure a strong leadership pipeline.
  5. Partner with functional leaders for manpower planning, budgeting, and organizational design optimization.
  6. Ensure compliance with local laws, internal policies, and global HC frameworks across all countries.
  7. Foster a high-performance, agile culture and enhance employee experience to position MAF Retail as an employer of choice.
  8. Manage budget planning, audit compliance, and cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field; HR certifications like CIPD or SHRM preferred.
  • 10-15 years of HC experience, including 2-5 years in senior leadership, ideally in retail or a similar regional role.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive engagement and organizational goals.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, from analysis to implementation.
  • Skilled in collaboration with internal/external stakeholders and inspiring alignment with long-term vision.
  • Excellent time management, integrity, and proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
